A little harvest adventure

Help Miss Carrot move her basket to the right ramp as carrots roll through the garden. Benny Bunny is here to join the harvest! This free game works in your browser without an account, adverts or a purchase.

Our learning collection is for ages 1–4. Play alongside your little learner: a grown-up can control the basket while a younger child points, names a colour or chooses a direction. Choose the level that suits your child and take a break whenever they need one.

How to play

  1. Press Play free, then Let’s play once the garden has loaded.
  2. Tap one of the four big arrows to move the basket upper left, lower left, upper right or lower right. You can also tap the corresponding corner of the garden.
  3. Catch carrots as they reach the basket. Each carrot adds one to your harvest; a golden carrot can restore one of your five hearts.
  4. Start with Level 1: carrots only. Level 2 adds pumpkins to let roll past; Level 3 adds friendly spiders too. Catching a pumpkin or spider, or missing an ordinary carrot, costs a heart.
  5. Use Pause whenever you need a break. When your hearts run out, press Play again for a fresh harvest. Exit returns to this page.

For keyboard play, use Q / A for upper/lower left and P / L for upper/lower right. Space pauses or resumes; Escape exits. You can switch between the autumn garden and cosy cottage. Sound is optional and starts only when you turn it on.

Shared-play ideas for grown-ups

  • Look and choose: ask “Which side is the carrot coming from?” and give your child time to point.
  • Count together: name a few carrots in your harvest, one at a time. Celebrate joining in, rather than aiming for a high score.
  • Notice differences: talk about the orange carrots, golden carrots and round pumpkins. Help your child choose which to catch and which to leave.

Moving between directions offers opportunities to practise attention, hand-eye coordination and choice-making. Naming what happens supports conversation, while taking turns keeps the experience shared and relaxed. There is no need to master every level.

Keep the play going off-screen

The Halloween activity book below includes colouring, counting, shape finding, patterns and movement cards. Try making a round pumpkin shape with your arms or reaching up tall like a carrot. A grown-up helps with all cutting in the printable book, which is labelled ages 2–4.
